Common Questions

How does it connect to Canvas? Is my data safe?

You sign in with your existing Canvas parent portal credentials — the same login you already use. Our connection is read-only, so we can never modify grades, submit assignments, or change anything. Setup takes about 2 minutes and works with any school using Canvas LMS. Your credentials are encrypted at rest and we never sell or share your data with third parties.

Will my kid know I'm using this?

That's completely up to you. BeApparent doesn't notify students or appear in their Canvas interface. Many parents find being upfront about staying informed actually builds trust and accountability.

What if my school doesn't use Canvas?

We currently support Canvas LMS — one of the most widely-used learning platforms in K-12 education. More platforms are on our roadmap. Let us know what system your school uses and we'll prioritize it.

Can I cancel anytime?
